Bob Dylan


Hey guys, here is a little experiment of mine. This is a drawing of old man Bobby Dylan done entirely in powdered charcoal. Enjoy!

Whoa, Bill! Neat technique!! How big is this thing is real life? I really like the woodgrainy-ness of it! It'd be awesome to see one that's even more detaily and wood-like. Awesome. Also, eventually you should do a show of all your musician portraits...you seem to be racking up quite a number of them!

thanks Kali! this drawing is done on a 11'' by 17'' bristol board pad. The bristol doesn't absorb any of the charcoal so you can just sort of push it around as much as you want with out it becoming a grey mess. Good idea about the musician portrait show!
